Background: Chickasaw Point POA Board would like to request some information from the member organizations in MLCA. We want to ensure that the builders who are building in our community are solid financially and can finish what they started. We want to avoid homes partially constructed due to builder issues.

1a. Do you have a review or vetting process for builders who want to build in your community?
1b. Is this a documented process identified in your Bylaws or Covenants?

2a. Do you have an Architectural Control Committee (ACC)?
2b. If yes, what is its role in this process, if any?
2c. If not ACC, who is responsible for doing the review?

3. What information is requested of the builder?

4. Is financial data (solvency) part of the review process?

5. Do you request references?

6. Do you charge a Builder's Fee or Impact Fee for construction?

7. If you have had a problem with a builder leaving a home uncompleted due to financial problems, what actions did the HOA/POA take?

8a. Do you specify minimums (e.g. square footage) for housing construction?
